About Conservancy of Southwest Florida
The Conservancy of Southwest Florida has worked for decades to protect the region’s water, land and wildlife, through science, environmental policy, education and a wildlife hospital that treats injured animals. Its campus sits beside the Gordon River, just north of downtown. The Nature Center is temporarily closed while a new John & Carol Walter Nature Experience is prepared, but the Conservancy still runs weekly off-site events and a Rookery Bay eco-cruise.
