About Park Shore, Venetian Bay and Pelican Bay: the back story

North of Old Naples, Park Shore and Pelican Bay are newer, quieter neighbourhoods of beachfront towers and gardens, with The Village Shops on Venetian Bay and Waterside Shops for shopping.

The place

Park Shore runs along Gulf Shore Boulevard North, with high-rise condominiums on the beach and canal-front homes behind. At its southern end, The Village Shops on Venetian Bay lines a waterway with boutiques and restaurants. Pelican Bay, to the north, is a planned community of towers set back behind protected mangroves and dunes.

The beaches

The beaches here are long and quiet. Clam Pass Park, with its boardwalk through the mangroves, is the public way onto the Pelican Bay shore, and the parking fills early in winter.

Quieter than downtown, with some of the best beach walks in Naples.

Shopping and culture

Waterside Shops is the upscale open-air centre, and Artis—Naples, home of the Naples Philharmonic and The Baker Museum, is close by.

Our advice: walk the Clam Pass boardwalk in the morning, shop and lunch at Venetian Bay or Waterside, and come back for a concert at Artis—Naples in the evening.
